1. Reason的单数形式

当reason做先行词时后关系代词用for which？why在句中是关系副词，引导定语从句，修饰先行词reason，同时在定语从句中作状语。

2. Reason why的用法

The reason why是一个定语从句句式，后面的why引导一个从句，在定语从句中作状语，此时why相当于for which。

3. Reason作为名词的用法

1）Reason可指“理由,原因,道理,情理”或“理智,理性,思维能力,推理能力”，可作可数名词，也可作不可数名词。2）Reason后常可接动词不定式或for引导的短语或从句作定语，引导从句的why。

4. Reason的短语和动词短语

1）插入语 as reason was 根据情理

2）By reason of the fair eyes of sb. 为了某人的缘故

3）Be restored to reason 恢复理智
